How to Create a Project for the NX-SL3300 Safety PLC from Omron When Using it in Stand Alone Mode – nx sl3300 및 이 주제에 대한 세부정보

This is Ray Marquiss, Senior Application Engineer with Valin Corporation. This video is going to show how to create a project for the NX-SL3300 safety PLC from Omron Electronics when you’re using it in the standalone mode.
Once Sysmac Studio starts, you’ll either see this window or you may see the splash screen. Whichever view you see after it starts, just click on “New Project” and you’ll be presented with this window that you can use to start a new project just like any other Sysmac Studio project. I’ll call this one “StandAloneSafety”. You can add notes however you want, and normally it will say that it’s a controller type project by default here. That’s usually what comes up. When you’re using just the standalone safety controller you want to click on that and select “slave terminal”. Not “safety network controller”. You want to select “slave terminal”. And then the normal way to do a standalone safety with the NX-SL3300 is to use the Ethernet IP coupler. So then off the screen at the bottom here there will be a button that says “Create”, and I’ll click on that. Confirm your version, which if you’ve ordered it since 2019 or so, the unit version is going to be 1.2. And make sure that it’s the EIC202, which there’s no other option there.
Next thing to do is click on “configuration”. Click on configuration and setup. Select the Ethernet IP and then double click on this option here for the EIC202. This is the layout of your Ethernet IP coupler. In other words, which modules are attached to it. Right now, there’s nothing on there, so if you’re doing this because it’s a safety standalone safety project, you’ll want to add a safety controller, so I’ll go over here and click on “safety CPU device”. Then drag the SL33O0 over and drop it in between these two green modules. If your layout doesn’t look like this with these larger modules, you can change it by right-clicking on it and then selecting this option here to show model unit name. When that’s unselected, it looks like this. When it’s selected, it looks like this.
Next, we’ll grab Safety devices, safety, input and outputs. So I’m just going to randomly grab this one. You would grab the proper one for your application. I’m going to drop in that safety input into the configuration. Next I’ll select the safety output. And grab one of those and drop that in there. Now in this particular application I may have need for standard inputs, non-safety inputs. So I’m going to go up to the digital input devices. These are the non-safety input devices. And I’ll grab one of these and add it in. I’m grabbing them kind of randomly. You would grab the ones that you need or actually have in your configuration, physically have in your configuration. From here it’s a good idea to save, so I’m going to click here and select save. And now you’ve created your configuration.
If you want to start programming, you’ll select this pull-down window on the left, up here, and then go to the safety CPU. And here is your configuration and programming options here. I’m going to create another video that explains how to get the standard inputs into your IO map so they can be used in your safety program.
